Sound familiar?

If you nod at two of these, your next audit is costing more than it should.

“The audit is in six weeks and the evidence is in forty inboxes.”

Weeks of chasing before anyone looks at a single control.

“We reformat the same pen-test report for three different standards.”

Every framework gets its own copy, and they drift apart.

“Nobody knows which policy version the auditor saw last year.”

No version trail means re-proving work you already did.

“Our consultant has the spreadsheet. We don’t.”

Readiness walks out the door when the engagement ends.

How OTARA works

From scattered evidence to an audit pack, in three moves.

  1. 01

    Map once

Start from requirements pre-mapped across IEC 62443, ISO/SAE 21434, IACS UR E26/E27 and CLC/TS 50701. Each piece of evidence links to every requirement it satisfies.

  2. 02

    Collect and review

Teams, suppliers and consultants upload against named requirements. Reviewers accept, reject with a reason, or request more evidence, and every step is logged with consent.

  3. 03

    Export the audit pack

Coverage per practice shows what is missing. When you are ready, export a structured evidence pack and completion report for your assessor.

Zero-gap framework alignment

Pre-mapped to IEC 62443, ISO/SAE 21434, IACS UR E26/E27 and CLC/TS 50701.

Audit-ready evidence vault

One-click evidence packs structured for certification bodies, class societies and regulators.

Gap visibility, always on

See missing, rejected and expiring evidence before an auditor does.

Questions buyers ask first

What is OTARA?

OTARA is an OT/ICS audit readiness platform. It brings Marine, Railway, Automotive, Smart Grid and Industrial cybersecurity frameworks into one evidence engine, so each document is mapped once and reused for every standard it satisfies.

Does OTARA replace my certification body or consultant?

No. OTARA organises and tracks your evidence so assessments go faster. Certification decisions stay with your certification body, and consultants can work inside OTARA alongside you.

Where is our data stored?

In a private, encrypted cloud store in India (AWS Mumbai region), with each customer’s data kept strictly separate and every upload, download and approval logged.

Which standards are covered at launch?

IEC 62443-4-1 secure development lifecycle comes first, with mappings to IEC 62443, ISO/SAE 21434, IACS UR E26/E27 and CLC/TS 50701 following on the roadmap. Tell us your scope and we will show you where you fit.

How long does onboarding take?

Your workspace is set up for you and your team is invited by email. Most of the effort is uploading evidence you already have.

What is IEC 62443-4-1?

IEC 62443-4-1 is the part of the IEC 62443 series that sets secure product development lifecycle requirements for suppliers of industrial automation and control system (IACS) products. It is organised into eight practices: security management, specification of security requirements, secure by design, secure implementation, security verification and validation testing, management of security-related issues, security update management, and security guidelines.

What are IACS UR E26 and E27?

IACS Unified Requirements E26 and E27 are the International Association of Classification Societies’ cyber resilience rules for ships. E26 covers the cyber resilience of the ship as a whole, and E27 covers the cyber resilience of on-board systems and equipment supplied to the ship. They apply to ships contracted for construction on or after 1 July 2024.

Can one piece of evidence satisfy several cybersecurity standards?

Often, yes. A secure coding standard or a penetration test report, for example, can support requirements in IEC 62443-4-1, ISO/SAE 21434, IACS UR E27 and CLC/TS 50701 at the same time. OTARA links each document to every requirement it satisfies so it is reviewed once and reused, rather than reformatted for each framework.
